“Beauty beverages” have represented one of the fastest-growing sectors within the consumer health and wellness industry over the past several years. The space consists of functional beverages (including ready-to-drink versions, mixes, and menu items) that are designed to promote beauty from the inside out, with the focus often on better skin, nails, and hair. The products achieve this goal through the use of ingredients such as herbs and fruits, collagen, matcha, retinol, biotin, and bamboo water. Some of the leading brands include Tru Glow Seltzer and Glow+Beauty.
Collaboration activity in the beauty-beverage space has slowly been on the upswing as well:
- Last month, Joe & The Juice paired with Maya Jama, a U.K.-based radio and TV presenter, for a limited-edition, collagen-infused black sesame-matcha drink, available in the former’s 91 stores in the U.K. As its name suggests, the drink includes matcha, black sesame, and collagen, as well as sea salt, agave, and Sproud Zero M*lk (a vegan pea milk). The collaboration with Jama was meant to appeal to the younger consumers who follow her and to help promote the chain’s matcha range.
- Free Soul, a marketer of protein and wellness supplements for women, partnered with U.K. matcha brand Perfect Ted, also in April 2026, to create two matcha drink powders, one being Matcha Protein and the other Matcha Collagen Latte.
- Global café chain Heytea, known for its natural ingredients, paired with marine collagen brand Vida Glow last year to produce a limited-edition tea called Ocean’s Glow, available in select Heytea locations in the U.K. and Australia. The product featured mango, coconut milk, jasmine green tea, organic blue spirulina powder, and Vida Glow’s marine collagen powder, all of which combine to boost skin, hair, and nail health. A range of collaborative merchandise, including mugs, cup sleeves, and canvas bags, accompanied the release.
- Dear Face, a beauty and wellness brand in the Philippines, partnered with Filipina actress and influencer Bea Borres last spring for a new drink flavor called Beauty Milk Strawberries & Cream that brightens the skin, has calming and mood-boosting effects, and helps alleviate the symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS).
As these examples suggest, the beauty beverage trend is a global one, and there are opportunities for collaboration within and across borders.
