Hair care has been an active segment of the celebrity beauty market for the last several years, and the pace of new launches does not seem to have slowed. Some of the notable introductions in 2025 — tied to both celebrity hair stylists and celebrities known for their hair styles — include the following:
- Most recently, rapper Cardi B introduced Grow-Good Beauty, a hair care brand with products priced under $20 per item at launch. The focus of the collection, which debuted through online channels, is on hair health and length retention. The line is comprised of a four-step Core Collection including washing and clarifying shampoos, hydrating and detangling conditioners, a deep-repair mask with avocado and banana extracts (similar to the rapper’s home remedies), and a finishing serum. Cardi B is known for sharing her natural hair-repair routines with fans on social channels.
- Hairstylist Michael Dueñas, known for his work with Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, and others, brought out a sustainable, water-free, vegan hair care line for travel under the Arove brand. The venture represents his first consumer product launch. Shampoo and conditioner were the inaugural releases, followed by a hydrating hair oil.
- Shakira premiered her first hair care brand, Ísima, developed over four years based on the singer’s own experiences with hair products, her inability to find good solutions for her long curls, and the need for more specific offerings addressing the hair types of the Latinx community. The line features formulas that work for all hair types, no matter the curl, porosity, density, or texture, incorporating a proprietary method that addresses cortex strength, cuticle softness, and scalp balance. The initial line includes eight products: two shampoos, hair mask, two conditioners, repairing oil, hydrating serum, and curl cream.
- Chris McMillan, best known as the stylist behind “The Rachel,” Jennifer Aniston’s look in Friends, along with many other celebrity styles both on-screen and off, debuted his first product line, Chris McMillan Hair. Launched exclusively in Sephora with seven SKUs, the collection’s central product is the Glassy Smooth Blowdry Spray.
These new launches extend a long list that already includes actresses and singers such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Priyanka Chopra (whose Anomaly line reached the $50 million mark in sales in 2024), Blake Lively, Tracee Ellis Ross, Brooke Shields, and Jennifer Aniston, and, on the stylist side, Florian Hurel, Cliff Vmir, Mara Roszak, Adam Reed, James Pecis, and many more.
Note that most ventures in this space take the form of celebrity-owned brands rather than collaborations with established companies. The releases tied to actresses and musicians also tend to be sold under self-contained brand names, with the celebrity association minimized or absent; the celebrities are typically involved in the marketing campaigns, especially around the launch, as well as product development. The stylists, on the other hand, are more apt to name their brands for themselves, highlighting the fact that their expertise informs each product.
