Influencers who have built their fame mostly through social channels have amassed targeted and loyal followings that are attractive to marketers of consumer goods. As a result, these digital-origin celebrities have become ubiquitous as collaborators in their specific areas of expertise, whether that be fashion, beauty, or cooking. A case in point: the home furnishings market, where the list of influencers making forays into this sector with their own collections is growing longer.
A handful of examples, encompassing soft and/or hard goods categories, helps illustrate:
- Chris Loves Julia paired with Pottery Barn Kids in May of this year, marking the first time the husband-and-wife home design and lifestyle influencers have entered children’s home furnishings. Products include furniture, wall art, quilts, and shams, among other pieces, with a focus on function, adaptability, and the timelessness to grow with the child. The brand already has a variety of other home goods collaborations in place.
- Influencer and interior designer Amber Guyton partnered with Gul Ahmed’s Sky Home division in September of 2025 for the first collection under her Blessed Little Bungalow brand, with a second assortment following this year. The ranges consist of value-priced sheets, top-of-bed textiles, and soft accent pieces. All reflect Guyton’s design aesthetic, described as soulful maximalism inspired by her Southern roots and African heritage. In addition to her social presence as a content creator, Guyton has also been featured in a number of traditional media outlets.
- In 2024, Southern California-based lifestyle influencer and interior designer Becki Owens licensed Kuka Home for the inaugural Becki Owens Home collection of more than 20 customizable upholstered furniture pieces for the living room, dining room, and bedroom, all with Owens’ clean and evergreen look. Kuka Home, for which this is its first consumer-facing brand in North America, developed a turnkey shop-in-shop experience for retailers around the collection. Owens currently has more than 2.3 million Instagram followers and more than10 million monthly viewers on Pinterest.
No doubt more alliances such as these and others like them will come to light in the future. In fact, Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight, digital creators of lifestyle content who launched their YouTube channel in 2013, signed with consumer products brand management agency BrandJourney, in a deal announced earlier this month, to develop a home goods licensing program extending to bed and bath, rugs, tabletop, accent furniture, wallpaper, lighting, and décor, as well as stationery, under the Brooklyn & Bailey Home label.
